Stabilised Alder is a classic-looking wood with fine grain, which after stabilisation is ideal for knife and knife-edge engravings.

During the stabilisation process, the pores of the wood are filled with resin, making the material more resistant to moisture, warping and cracking, while maintaining the natural feel and aesthetics of the wood.

Properties: stable, less prone to warping, moisture resistant

Machining: easy to shape, good sanding, polishing

Surface treatment: excellent results can be achieved with oil, wax or high gloss polish
