DT Grinder sharpening machine conversion set from KS1-230/400 to KS1V

In response to customer demand, we have created a conversion kit for KS1 single-speed sharpeners, so that anyone who chooses to retrofit their sharpener can do so with us.

The set includes a boxed inverter and an electric motor. We do the reassembly in our workshop so the machine has to be returned to us in Debrecen. During the reassembly we will inspect and check the machine. The 230 [V] 180 [W] electric motor will be returned to the machine, we are not able to take it back or to include its price in the rebuild.

The belt speed of the machine will be infinitely adjustable between 3 and 12 [m/s]. The slower speed also makes it suitable for very fine sharpening work requiring little material removal. With a maximum belt speed of 12 [m/s], the machine is also able to cope effectively with larger material separations. Thus, blade maintenance, thinning and re-profiling can be easily carried out with the machine. Last but not least, line stripping is also faster at higher belt speeds, allowing the productivity of the machine to be improved to around 15-20 knives per hour, depending on knife condition. This can be further increased by purchasing additional knife clamps to clamp knives at the same time to save on belt changes.
And at slower belt speeds, it is also excellent for fine sharpening jobs requiring very fine, small material removal.

The electric motor is a three-phase, 250 [W] industrial asynchronous electric motor controlled by a single-phase frequency converter, so the machine operates from a 230 [V] mains supply.

The inverter is housed in a separate electrical box, thus protected against dust.

The price of the set includes:

• Complete disassembly and inspection of the machine
• Recalibrate the machine
• A frequency converter in a box that operates from 230 [V]
• A 250 [W] electric motor
• Repackaging of the machine, new machine board.
