Soft sharpening pad for DTG-KS1V and KS3V

This specially designed soft grinding attachment can be easily retrofitted to the DTG-KS1Vand DTG-KS3V grinding machines. The purpose of the attachment is to allow fine edge thinning and precise maintenance of knife blades – especially in cases where the edge is slightly thickened or needs minor repair and maintenance.
The soft, minimally resilient surface allows you to lick the material and not grind into it on the hard contact surface. A big advantage over working on a vibratory belt, however, is that you can apply pressure so that material removal is more efficient and faster during the thinning process.

How to use:

The tweezers must be carefully placed on the machine, taking care not to bend.

Tweezers cannot be reinserted after removal as they are deformed when removed.

The tweezers do not interfere with the use of the machine during sharpening – the normal workflow can be carried out unchanged.

The part covered with felt is placed towards the wear plate. It is compulsory to use both tweezers during use, otherwise they may shift and move out of position during sharpening, which can be dangerous! Before each use, check the correct position of the felt-covered plate to avoid accidents.

After use, the tweezers can remain on the machine, but when sharpening, the felt-covered sheet must still be removed.

This accessory is ideal for fine knife sharpening and precise edge shaping.
