The DT Grinder DTG-KS1V is designed for edge band sharpening.
It is easy to use and quick to learn, allowing anyone to sharpen their knives and scissors professionally.
The belt speed of the DT Grinder KS1V can be adjusted to sharpen knives and cutting tools more efficiently.
The belt speed is infinitely adjustable between 3-12 [m/s]. The slower speed makes it suitable for very fine sharpening jobs requiring little material separation. With a maximum belt speed of 12 [m/s], the machine is also able to cope effectively with larger material cuts. Last but not least, the in-line cut-off is also faster at higher belt speeds, giving the machine a productivity of around 15-20 knives per hour, depending on knife condition.
And at slower belt speeds, it is also well suited for fine sharpening jobs requiring very fine, small material cuts.
The machine is made up of two aluminium rollers and mostly steel parts. The surface treatment is electrostatic powder coating and galvanic galvanizing to high quality standards. The jaws of the knife gripper are made of 51CrV4 heat-treated steel, while the wear and support surfaces are made of high wear resistant hardox plate, thus ensuring durability and long service life.
Its construction and components are identical to those of the DTG-KS1 sharpening machine, except for the control and motor. Its motor is a three-phase 250 [W] industrial asynchronous electric motor controlled by a single-phase frequency converter, so that the machine operates from a 230 [V] mains supply. The inverter is installed in an electrical box with a separate cooling system, thus protected against dust.
