3M™ Cubitron™ II 784F P80+ 9×533 [mm] abrasive belt

The 3M™ Cubitron™ ll 784F fabric tape contains 3M precision-formed grains. Our fabric tapes consist of a precise blend of specially formed ceramic and high quality aluminium oxide. They have a flexible, “J” weight cotton backing and an open-coated structure. The tapes also contain a waterproof backing and abrasive auxiliary.

Use the 3M™ Cubitron™ ll 784F fabric tape for a more durable, faster and smoother sanding than aluminium oxide tapes. The precise blend of specially shaped ceramic and high-quality aluminum oxide provides optimum sanding in medium-pressure sanding and single-grinding applications. Our cloth belts grind and renew exceptionally fast during grinding. These high-performance belts offer cost-effective productivity in medium pressure applications where all-ceramic belts may be underutilized. Thanks to water-resistant polyester substrates, these tapes can be used dry or wet.

To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, titanium, nickel and cobalt alloys from cracking and discolouration due to thermal stress, grinding aids are used to reduce the grinding temperature. In addition, the abrasive is strongly bonded to the substrate with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. Grits with a grain size between 36 and 80 have a “YF” weight, while finer grits with a grain size between 120 and 180 have a lighter “XF” weight backing. Both weights are moderately elastic and conform well to simpler contours and smooth surfaces.
