The DTG BG1000 is the entry-level, yet robust and reliable member of the DT Grinder range, making it the perfect choice for DIY enthusiasts, hobby knife makers and small-scale users.

The machine was designed with ease of use in mind, yet with industrial-grade stability and performance for everyday sanding tasks.

The BG1000 machine body is treated with electrostatic powder coating and galvanic galvanizing, which not only provides an aesthetic appearance, but also effective protection against corrosion and mechanical stresses.

The machine can be ordered with or without a stable metal base, depending on whether a mobile or fixed installation is required. If you also use the sharpening function, you will need to adjust the position of the machine during the work process, which the base option allows.

The BG1000 belt sander is equipped with a single-phase, single-speed motor, ideally coupled with a belt speed of 12 m/s. This speed is suitable for most basic operations, such as material removal, surface smoothing, edge preparation, and fine adjustment before or after heat treatment.

It can be used with 30×1000 mm tapes, which can be replaced quickly and easily – no special tools or casing removal required.

The BG1000 was designed with modularity in mind. The machine can be retrofitted with knife grippers and angle support, allowing professional sharpening on the machine. These accessories can be ordered separately to tailor the functionality of the machine to the user’s needs. For sharpening, we recommend to use a P80/120 grit abrasive belt for the edge band and a P240 grit belt for the refinement. For deburring 30×1000 mm endless leather tape is available.
