3M™ Cubitron™ II 947A P80+ 50×1200 [mm] abrasive tape

The 3M™ Cubitron™ ll 947A fabric tape contains precision-formed particles on an “X” weight poly-cotton fabric substrate.

Achieve superior results with 3M™ Cubitron™ ll 947A Tape for high back pressure automated sanding, low to medium back pressure manual applications, use of floor, vibratory and straight sanders, and other applications. The 947A belt contains precision-formed grains on an “X” weight poly-cotton fabric backing. The precision-formed grains are formed into triangular tips that cut through metal instead of grinding or planing it like conventional abrasives. These tips continually sharpen themselves as they break off, providing an extremely fast cut and less heat build-up, thus reducing cracking and discolouration due to heat. The abrasive provides a uniform surface finish throughout its life and helps eliminate burn-in during grinding. The “X” weight cloth backing provides durability, and the mineral is bonded to it with resin to provide reliable performance even under high heat and pressure.
