The use of 3M\u2122 Trizact\u2122 237AA abrasive tape, containing fast-cutting aluminium oxide, provides a uniformly fine finish on hard metals such as carbon and stainless steel. Our fabric tapes use 3M’s microreplication technology, whereby micron-fine particles of aluminum oxide are formed into tiny pyramids of abrasive particles and then coated into an “X” weight fabric carrier. Under moderate pressure, these pyramids are continuously broken down to reveal new, sharp mineral, providing uniform grinding and a reliably fine surface finish. A durable carrier of 237AA cloth belts helps ensure controllability, formability and efficient medium pressure grinding. <\/p>\n
The resin bonded abrasive provides greater heat resistance and prevents peeling. The three-dimensional pyramid structure of the abrasive is evenly distributed over the entire surface, ensuring consistent performance. These ‘pyramids’ contain layers of minerals and will start to break down with repeated use, constantly revealing a new layer of abrasive particles. The renewal cycle of the mineral layers maintains the sharpness of the abrasive. The belt has a foil adhesive, a high strength adhesive that holds the ends of the belt together and contains a thin foil bonding medium that minimises vibration scratches. This causes the tape to sand evenly and produces a uniform finish. Trizact abrasive produces a finer polished surface, allows for faster work and is up to five times more durable than conventional abrasive products. They offer precision-controlled surface treatment, allowing operators to use fewer steps and abrasives by reducing the number of different grits. <\/p>\n
