The fatcarbon® “Dark Matter Gold” knife handle material is made using recycled carbon fibres, bio-based epoxy resins, organic pigments and renewable energy. The end result is an incredibly good looking, lightweight (1.5 g/cm3) and durable composite.

It also has the following advantages:

Lightweight, high stiffness and strength, corrosion resistance, dimensional stability.

Resistant to temperature and impact.

The same look through the entire thickness.

Well machinable.

Resistant to all detergents, oils, fats, weak acids.

Can be polished, painted or lacquered.

This carbon fibre material is an excellent choice for knife handles, liners or decorative inserts. Easily shaped with a belt sander or milling cutter, carbide drill.
