3M™ Scotch-Brite™ surface conditioning abrasive tape:
- Good on metal, plastic and composite materials
- Open mesh resists clogging and adapts to surface irregularities
- The open mesh adapts to surface irregularities while minimising geometric deviations of the part
Scotch-Brite™ surface treatment tape provides all the benefits of Scotch-Brite™ products. Our rolls contain alumina or silicon carbide minerals and are available in a variety of particle sizes from extremely fine to coarse. Scotch-Brite™ abrasives use unique non-woven technology to create sharp and durable minerals.
Use Scotch-Brite™ Surface Treatment Tape to efficiently grade, sand and finish a variety of materials. Our versatile surface treatment rolls can also be used for fine sanding. These universal surface treatment rolls offer all the benefits of Scotch-Brite™ products, including non-woven sanding technology and uniform sanding.
They contain aluminium oxide or silicon carbide minerals and are available in a range of grain sizes from super fine (SFN) to coarse (CRS). The super fine grits grind less aggressively for a smoother finish, while the coarse grits grind more aggressively for a rougher finish. The range has a grit size to suit every job.
Scotch-Brite™ abrasives use a unique, non-woven technology where the abrasive is dispersed on artificial fibres with resin. It creates an open mesh structure. Gaps between the fibres allow excess material to escape, preventing contaminants from wearing away the mineral. This keeps the mineral sharp for longer, which improves cutting performance and increases the life of the abrasive. The spring-like nature of the fibres works well on contours and follows surface detail. Their delicate construction effectively removes unwanted burrs, dirt and contaminants without damaging the base material, giving the user a uniform and even finish on all parts.
